Hot Dog & Hamburger Sale

On the third Friday of every month St. John's has a community hotdog and hamburger sale.  A team of dedicated church members works in the kitchen to prepare the food for sale. St. John’s is also noted for the delicious homemade desserts available for purchase. St. John’s has been involved in this activity for many years and has served many Kannapolis citizens as well as other friends from surrounding towns.

SEASONAL ACTIVITIES

Easter Egg Hunt

St. John’s hosts an Easter Egg Hunt annually for children up to 12 years of age.   This activity is open to the community. This is a time to have fun and learn about the true meaning of Easter. The children enjoy an egg hunt, games and other activities and are served a lite lunch and treats.

Vacation Bible School

A summer program sponsored by St. Johns is the Vacation Bible School.  VBS provides religious education usually catering toward elementary and intermediate aged school children.  The education employs Bible stories, religious song/music, crafts, recreation, games, lite lunch, snacks and lots of fun.

Fall Festival

One of the best attended activities at St. John’s is the Fall Festival which is usually held in October.  This outreach program involves a number of church members who plan and execute this time of fun. Children usually wear their Halloween costumes and have the opportunity to participate in Trunk or Treat, Cake Walks, and games. Every child goes away with a bag full of treats.

Christmas Program

Each year the choir performs a Chirstmas Cantata during the regular worship service.  Later that evening, the youth perform a Christmas Play and everyone who attends receives a Christmas treat bag with fruit and candy.
